The Gimli Industrial Park Airport is located at Gimli, Manitoba just a 45 minute drive north of Winnipeg off PTH 8 and PR 231.
Co-located with the Gimli Business Park 4 km’s west of the town site, the Gimli airport was prior to 1972 the home to the Royal Canadian Air Force Base, Gimli.
The Transport Canada certified airport has one of the longest rural concrete runways at 6,800 ft long x 150 ft wide.
The airport is maintained and operated year-round. The Gimli airport has 2 taxiways, a large apron, and a modern LED runway light system. Self serve fuel is available for AVGAS 100LL and Jet A1. The airport has GPS instrument approaches to the runways making it IFR capable.
An aviation Automated Weather Observation System, AWOS, is provided on VHF frequency 122.975 mhz and at www.gimliairportawos.com.
A small terminal building with washroom is provided for aircrew flight planning adjacent to the former airport control tower. There are no landing fees or short-term parking fees.
