February 2025 -  Welcome to the RM of Gimli Trails Master Plan Project!

The RM of Gimli is excited to develop a Trails Master Plan, a strategic initiative designed to ensure that the future of our trail and urban pathway system is planned in a systematic and coordinated way. This plan will help shape how our community accesses and enjoys trails, sidewalks, and pathways for years to come.

Our objectives include:

  • Creating an inventory of existing trails, pathways, and sidewalks.

  • Analyzing future needs for the trail network.

  • Engaging with the community to define a shared vision, goals, and objectives.

  • Aligning with the evolving demands of residents and visitors.

  • Developing strategies that incorporate valuable community feedback.

The ultimate goal is to promote safe, accessible, and enjoyable trail use for everyone. The plan will consider the needs of different user groups, encourage positive social interactions, support tourism, and enhance local businesses.

Review & Share Your Thoughts

We invite all residents to review the project documentation and share their thoughts by completing our community survey. Your voice matters, and your insights will directly shape the future of our trail system.

Thank you for being an essential part of this planning process. Together, we can create a trail network that serves the needs of our community now and in the future!
