NOTICE: Complete Fire Ban & Backcountry Travel Restriction – Effective Immediately (May 08, 2025)
The Rural Municipality of Gimli is escalating its Level 1 fire restriction to a Complete Fire Ban, effective immediately.
Due to ongoing dry conditions, lack of significant precipitation, and increasing temperatures, the fire danger remains extremely high. As a result, the following restrictions are now in effect:
All fires are strictly prohibited, including recreational, agricultural, commercial, and other.
All motorized backcountry travel is banned at all times. This includes ATVs and other off-road vehicles.
All fire permits are suspended.
These measures are critical to protect public safety and prevent wildfires. We thank residents and visitors for their cooperation during this time.
